Soooo yummy. Had the rueben and 10/10 would again. Looking forward to trying them all!
Only have done delivery (which always has been super fast!) from them but amazing sandwiches. Every ingredient holds its own. Super saucy, flavorful, and fresh. Big fan of the sesame seeds. Love the Italian and Roast Beef sandwiches. I'd love to try them all.
If you want a SANDWICH sandwich, Court Street Grocers is right for you. I was reminiscing over a sandwich shop that closed in Berkeley (cheese n stuff for my Berkeley peeps), and this place hit the spot. Quick tip -- the menu seems overwhelming at first, but the sandwiches are color coded by meat! I got the American which was stuffed full of turkey and ham. I'm usually a toasted sandwich person, but this one was so hefty I couldn't complain. I also ordered the Ultimate Warrior on Doordash. Once again, super loaded with warm, fall-apart tender pork shoulder and a healthy serving of broccoli rabe. Love a sandwich with enough veggies. I will be coming back to try the rest of the menu.
I found myself in Williamsburg, and I was in need of a sandwich. I stopped into Court St Grocers and ordered a Macho sandwich. My sandwich arrived fairly quickly. It was very tasty, but a bit small for my appetite. My bill with a bottle of Poland Spring water was $18.50, a bit steep indeed!
An nyc staple, finally got around to trying the famous Court Street Grocers. I've been following them for a while so know they are known for their creative sandwich combos. Nonetheless, I found myself opting for a classic option, the Italian combo. Ordered online and did a store pickup as an excuse to get some fresh air on a wfh day. When you walk in they have the to go orders lined up along the wall so you can grab and go which is convenient. The bread was really great, I love anything with sesame so perhaps I'm biased but it was nice and crispy and toasted. Overall I thought the sandwich was good. A bit heavier on the cheese than I would have preferred and a bit salty. If you want a filling sandwich where you can be assured that each ingredient on its own is high quality, then this is your spot. Was a huge fan of the onions which were presoaked so that they weren't overpowering in flavor. Plan to try their other options like the Ollie or even a breakfast sandwich in the future.
Court Street is my favorite sandwich place in New York hands down. All of the ingredients are super fresh, the flavors are interesting and balanced, and the sandwich portions are a great value. I always get the Italian Combo (ask for extra arugula!) but the Uncle Grandpa is a tasty option too. And I recommend getting them to go to picnic in McCarren Park!
Really good sandwiches with a ton of interesting vegetarian flavors! Court street, has a few locations and delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The clean turkey sandwich was pretty good with a balsamic tang which made it feel like a salad but in sandwich form, but I can definitely see why it could be a popular menu item! My favorite was the Broccoli Reuben which came on a soft bread with sauerkraut (added crunchy onions and jalapeños) which ended up being fantastic!
Whoa, upping to five stars because the American Combo is one of the most incredible sandwiches I've ever had. I need it again, immediately. Also, the Zapps chips still rule!!
